MFD DISPATCH-OPERATIONS FREQUENCIES
The Minetto Fire Department is dispatched by the Oswego County Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center. Our county features an 800 MHZ simulcast trunked radio network. This radio network is a state of the art system capable of handling 2,500 system/groups that utilizes a random combination of ten frequencies within the 800 MHZ band-width. This configuration enables the most efficient use of the frequencies.
This network enables the MFD to have a multitude of systems/groups (channels) available. This includes multiple dispatch groups, operations groups, 9 fire ground groups and several conventional low power talk-around groups.
However, this type of network makes it difficult to track specific traffic on your home scanner, because no radio communications traffic is routed on one specific frequency.
Therefore, the following list of frequencies, depending on your ability to program them into your home scanner, is provided as a reference only. No specific traffic pattern will be utilized using these frequencies:
